‘It’s all about expression’.as Jazzie B brings the funk, hip hop, soul, garage and good vibes to Durham University as part of the Brass Festival.

Brass: Durham International Festival 2010

A two week celebration of internationally acclaimed brass artists and ensembles taking place across County Durham in the North East of England.

At its heart this spirited festival celebrates the rich history that brass music plays in the heritage of our vibrant communities and demonstrates how the universal language of music connects us all with different cultures from across the world.


Jazzie will be playing a DJ set , also performing on this night will be the Batucada Sound Machine. A 13 piece band from Auckland NZ who deliver blistering live performances with soulful vocals and jiving horns, fusing percussive samba with hip hop, Afro beat and dub. Their fast rise to popularity has seen them perform alongside global heavyweights such as Damien Marley, Michael Franti and The Cat Empire.
