a bit about jazzie
Jazzie first started a sound called Jah Rico with his friend Phillip ‘Daddae’ Harvey when he was just 13; only three years later Soul II Soul was created. Playing everything from afrobeat to soul to reggae dubplate specials, Soul II Soul were launched on the path of success when they landed a gig at the now-legendary Africa Centre in London's Covent Garden, and pretty soon record labels were beating down the door.
They eventually signed with Virgin subsidiary Ten Records, enjoyed early chart success with Keep On Moving and Back To Life, and even picked up a couple of Grammys in 1990.
Jazzie has subsequently been honoured by Her Majesty The Queen, and given the keys to seven cities in the US.
He also runs his own label Soul II Soul Recordings, holds a weekly slot on BBC London 94.9, and has produced a string of remixes for the likes of Nas and James Brown.

Interview with the DJs
This film was shot in April of 2008 in Antigua and goes someway to explain what this event means to the DJs involved.
It should be noted a rare occasssion to have the mighty Rodigan in front of a video camera, over his epic career he has frequently quoted 'video killed the radio star'...
